How Sweet It Is! Towson

How Sweet It Is: a Singalong Concert with Annie Patterson & friends. Guitarist extraodinaire Tom Mitchell (Blue Rhythm Boys) and the incredible bass player Ralph Gordon will accompany Annie for this fun event. Peter Blood will join in on fiddle. Sing along to "Great American Songbook" classics like "You Belong to Me" and "Our Love Is Here to Stay". Join Annie as she sings Motown, Broadway and folk favorites from Rise Up Singing and Rise Again. This is a great chance to celebrate love and hope - and to stengthen the bonds of community and resillience among us in these challenging times.

Annie is the co-creator (with her husband Peter Blood) of the well-loved songbooks Rise Up Singing and it's sequel Rise Again.  If you have a copy of Rise Again already, bring it with you. Copies will also be available to borrow or buy at the concert (you can also pre-order a copy on this webpage).

She will be joined by upright bass player Ralph Gordon & guitarist Tom Mitchell on lead guitar. Both Ralph & Tom have played and recorded with Annie and her jazz trio, Girls from Mars.

Tickets ordered here will be for a "will call list". On the night of the concert admission will be for a suggested donation of $15-25.  ("Be generous! Be affordable!") No one will be turned away for inability to pay. If you have the ability to pay more you will help others to attend.

This concert is a benefit for the Social Action Committee of Towson U-U Church.
